Uperis

During artistic residence in “Rupert” in 2014 (Vilnius, Valakampiai), I have studied its unusual surroundings and noticed that the river Neris divides two cultural-recreational areas, which are usually end-points for wanderers and cyclists. Studies followed by proposal to build pendulum-style stream powered ferry across the river, which got initial funding.

The ferry was built in 2017 and was set for experimental operation for a couple of years. Discontinued due to lack of business model.
